Get the Look: Boho Bride

Whether you're a covid bride planning a small ceremony or just looking for a fun way to mix up a traditional bridal look, consider styling your event with a chic, boho theme. If you've been on Pinterest or Instagram lately, you've probably noticed the recent trend of boho-inspired brides. I loved this theme so much that I decided to recreate my own bohemian look. I incorporated booties and a classic Texas background to add my own southern twist to a classic boho style. Read on for ways to style your own boho bridal ensemble and shop my look!

How to be a Boho Bride

Here's a few ways to incorporate a bohemian feel into your wardrobe:

  • Lace: Incorporate a vintage feel with long, flowy lace.

  • Choose a flowy dress/skirt: Avoid tight silhouettes and embrace the boho vibe with lots of flawy fabric.

  • Consider an off-the-shoulder neckline: Nothing screams "boho" like a fabulous off-the-shoulder silhouette. Bonus points if you incorporate lace.

  • Keep the colors to a minimum: Neutrals are your best friend. Avoid colors and go for white, neutral, or shades of brown.

  • Add a hat: Fall is upon us, which means you can find a great rancher hat literally anywhere. Add a light cream or neutral colored hat to your look to take it up a notch!

  • Skip the heels: Now is not the time for sky-high stilettos. Style your look with booties, or go barefoot!

  • Style your groom accordingly: Make sure you're not the only one incorporating the theme. Make sure to coordinate with the groom!

Unfortunately my Socialite white maxi dress is no longer available. Since it's currently out of stock, I found a few similar boho-inspired white lace maxi dresses from different retailers, at varying price points.

I accessorized my look with the Steve Madden Kaylah Booties and a Lack of Color rancher hat. Add a simple piece of jewelry, like this Kendra Scott bracelet, as a finishing touch!
